My drive to be in front of and behind the camera started when I was a kid living in New York. I studied classical piano and voice as a chorister in the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys. While touring the world and singing in spaces like Westminster Abbey and Carnegie Hall, I knew my fascination with personas and performance would draw me to the spotlight.
At Middlebury College, I started transforming fascinations into purposeful passions. Although I was an Arabic major, I studied film and always had a camera with me. Documenting my life—from the mountains of Vermont to the Middle East. But after graduating with Honors and starting my advertising career as a writer at Ogilvy Jordan, I got lost. In the best and worst ways possible. I made some award-winning work. And when I returned to the U.S., I met some some cool people as a club kid in New York and Chicago. But if I’ve learned anything in my twenties, it’s that cool doesn’t cut it.
Currently a creative at Leo Burnett Chicago, I’ve had the privilege of working with and learning from incredibly talented people. Projects with friends outside of work are equally inspiring and motivating. And I’m eager to see where life and opportunity take me next.
